I've grown up in Simsbury and decided to raise my 3 children here with my home-grown husband as well. The reason being, the schools are amazing for starters! We are even proud Simsbury High School graduates ourselves. Always rated as one of the top school systems in the state, that was huge in the decision making process for my husband and I. On top of that, there are TONS of activities to do with your family as well. From the Talcott Mountain Music Festival to Septemberfest to The Tower Toot at Heublein Tower to Simsbury Celebrates and the Torchlight Parade there are so many fun events in town you'll never be bored! Among numerous charity and kid sponsored events, the town has a wide array of sports activities for children and adults that you can't get anywhere else. Because of our proximity to the Farmington River, not only do we have great fishing but a high school Crew team as well as adult teams who participate. We have a multitude of riding stables in the area if you are an equine enthusiast, and a new dog park for the animal lovers, Paw Meadow Dog Park. The pristine soccer fields, enormous bike path known as the Farmington Valley Greenway, tennis courts and more offers our residents the healthy and active lifestyle they are looking for.
